A Grand Weekend Zurich

Perhaps the best place on Earth. Often voted best place to live in the world. Definitely worth a stay if you like the finer things in life. Amazing shopping, eating and always tranquil, except for the nightlife.

Zurich is the unofficial capital of Switzerland, with the officials in Bern, Zurich can party and be different. The city has its’ very own style. People dress, talk and behave in “Zueri” style. Stylish, modern, distinctly different from their fellow Swiss, Zueri people are fun and outgoing.

Every year you find the street parade passing in front of the lake, a electronic music festival with many large trucks carrying people and music. If you don’t dig the crowds get your lake side access via the excellent Baur au Lac Hotel.

From here you will be able to see (and hear) the music at a leisurely distance, whilst having a flute of champagne without having to push around the people in the street to get to the bar. In the hotel you will also find a terrific restaurant where Chef Laurent Eperon will cook you a health meal in his Michelin starred restaurant.

By night you’ll have a beautiful view of the Limmat, which you will cross if you go for a night out in the Opera (Opernhaus Zurich) or the Corso Kino on the Sechselautenplatz on the ‘Goldcoast’ side of Zurich.
